SOT is composed of  procedures developed by Dr. Major B. De Jarnette.

SOT recognises the important role of normal cranial function in health and disease and spinal subluxation (Spinal subluxation: A disorder of the spinal, pelvic or cranial bones which is interfering with, or prohibits the correction of, the secretion, fluctuation and absorption of cerebro spinal fluid.) (ref https://soto.org.au/about/sot-general-info/patients-guide)

The cranial bones and other cranial structures can cause central nervous system problems

One function of the sacrum is to pump Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (CSF) from the base of the spine, up the spinal canal to the brain and throughout the nervous system. The Occiput also helps to pump CSF which acts as the circulatory system for the brain and spinal cord and is essential for optimal health.

Following a physical assessment of the patient, the application of SOT techniques promotes optimal innate healing mechanics for the spine, pelvis, cranium, organs, extremities, nervous system, brain and muscles. The technique utilises subtle cranial corrections and the use of pelvic wedged placed under the pelvis during treatment. These techniques promote balance, neurological integrity and integrated function of the organ structure and neurological mechanism. (ref https://soto.org.au/about/sot-general-info/patients-guide)

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology™ (AK) is a unique health care system because it recognises that appropriate body mechanics, biochemistry and emotional health are fundamental to optimal health.

Your nervous system monitors and coordinates all your body interactions. On that basis, the Applied Kinesiology™ practitioner uses muscle testing to assess your nervous system function and find a solution to your health concerns
